“Once you say you’re going to settle for second, that’s what happens to you in life.”
— John F. Kennedy, 35th U.S. President

Fall 2022 Scholarships are CLOSED.

The John F. Kennedy Scholarship, created by the men of Phi Kappa Theta Iowa Delta, is a scholarship created to honor the life and values of brother John F. Kennedy, whose values continue to inspire modern politicians. John F. Kennedy believed that although intelligence through education is of the upmost importance, without other core principles in your life you will not be able to reach your full potential. Every year, Phi Kappa Theta Iowa Delta awards incoming freshmen men who have shown leadership and intelligence not only in their education, but in their other involvements in their community. To apply, please fill out the form on the left. The minimum requirements are to be an incoming freshmen male to the University of Iowa with a 3.0 high school GPA, along with a resume highlighting your experience outside of the classroom. There will be two rounds of interviews, the first will be the semi-finalists interview. From there, 3 applicants will be called back for final interviews. The winner will receive a $200 stipend towards their college education, with both other finalists receiving $100 each. There is no requirement to join Phi Kappa Theta if you are to win the scholarship. If you have any more questions, reach out at pktiowa@gmail.com or through or contact page above.
